So, please tell Lifeofamodel.com how you entered Miss Earth?
In June I won the Sambil Model Pageant by the organization Sambil, and after that I entered the Miss Venezuela competition becoming First Runner up there. Then the Sambil Organisation asked me if I wanted to enter the Miss Earth competition in the Philippines and I said YES!!!
How did you feel when you arrived at the competition?
I was very excited because it was my first time in an Asian country, also it was my first time in an international beauty pageant. I felt very proud to represent my country in that side of the world.
Did you think it was possible that you could win?
At the beginning I was one of the favourites to win, so I just enjoyed the competition, shared with the other girls and learned more about other cultures and countries. I expected to be on the top four.
Were you able to make friends with the other contestants?
Yes, two of my best friends are Miss Poland and Miss Vietnam. I was friends with all the girls and we send emails to each other and we are still in contact.
What tips would you have for other beauty queens on how to win a beauty pageant such as Miss Earth?
I can say: be friendly, be just you, let your personality be like it is, be happy and have always a smile and be responsible. And of course put a little bit make up and dress well!
How has your life changed since winning Miss Earth?
My life has changed 180 degrees! I feel very happy because I have a lot of opportunities especially on TV. The image of myself has had a big projection, after the competition. I have received invitations to cities, parties, events, and I have met a lot of interesting people. Also I have learned more about environmental things than ever.
Why is Miss Earth such an important beauty competition?
Miss Earth has an environmental cause and it's very important because the environment now is one issue that affects the entire world. I think as Miss Earth, doing a lot of activities can help the world at least a little bit. Miss Earth has a lot of contacts such as institutes, companies and within government who care about the environment.
What will you do after completing your title as Miss Earth?
I wanted to work in TV as a host and also work in a radio station. I want to make some campaigns for the environment also.
