Ok so around how many promo models apply to work with Brand Spanking per week?
The number of applicants varies depending on whether we have advertised for promotion models or not. To date we have only publicly advertised for promo models twice on an internet site. From the ads we had at least 40 staff apply per week. When it is only word of mouth we get on average 5 applicants per week (Auckland only; national staff are sourced word of mouth only).
What do you look for in selecting a promo model when you interview them?
We work with the best brands because we are the best, so we are looking for the best people to represent our clients and Brand Spanking. We look for promo models that are reliable, hardworking, confident, outgoing and have got that x factor.
Are looks and attitude of promotion models equally important?
When working directly in the public eye, promoting or trying to sell a clients product it is an asset if you are attractive and well groomed but attitude/personality to us is of higher importance. However, promo models have to have both.
What jobs or clients are the most fun events to work on for your promotion models?
Some brands/companies we have worked with include: V drink, Mountain Dew, Pepsi Max, h2go, Fresh Up, Ribena, Mizone, Jack Daniels, Steinlager, Lion Red, Lancôme, Estee Lauder, Anna Sui, Christian Dior, Elizabeth Arden, Guerlain, Carefree, Puhoi Valley, Bluebird, Fresh n Fruity, Fruju, Braun, Firestone, On Holiday Magazine, Sky City, NZ Herald, DFS Galleria, Regency Duty Free and many more.
Each of our promo models enjoy working on different promotions, depending on what they are interested in! Being out in the field working at festivals and expo's see to prove the most popular amongst our promotion models!
Do many of your promo models do other forms of modeling?
Most of our promo models have experience in other fields such as modeling (catwalk or photographic), acting (television/TVC or stage), singing and the like.
What are your pet-hates of behaviour of promo models on jobs which can let the side down?
Unreliability, promotion models whom are not punctual and/or lack initiative let our team down and make my job more stressful!
